DESCRIPTION:Le webinaire Prométhéd “Problèmes et méthodes de l’édition des textes médiévaux” est organisé par Grégory Clesse\, chargé de recherche FNRS à l’Université catholique de Louvain\, et Florence Ninitte\, chercheuse post-doctorante à l’Université de Nantes au sein de l’ERC Synergy Grant “The European Qur’an” (EuQu). \nLa finalité du webinaire est d’explorer plusieurs thématiques et problématiques soulevées par le travail d’édition critique\, allant de l’édition de textes à la tradition complexe (que ce soit le fruit d’une tradition manuscrite abondante ou d’une multiplicité des rédactions)\, de traductions dont la source est perdue\, en passant par l’édition de textes aux formes spécifiques et complexes (par exemple : traités d’astrologie\, mathématiques\, magiques\, réceptaires). \nLe webinaire s’adresse tant aux étudiants et doctorants qu’aux chercheurs confirmés\, en offrant l’occasion de présenter de nouveaux outils de recherche et méthodologies\, de soumettre à la communauté scientifique des questions épineuses ou irrésolues\, et de partager l’avancée de ses travaux. DESCRIPTION:20-21 May 2021\nNantes\, Maison des Sciences de l’Homme Ange Guépin\n5 allée Jacques Berque\, 44021 Nantes Cedex 1\nSimone Veil Amphitheatre \nEvent online with Zoom – ## REGISTER NOW ONLINE ##\n \nRead the program \nDownload the poster \nAlthough the first Latin translation of the Qur’ān dates to 1143\, and its first vernacular (Italian) translation to 1547\, the sacred book of Islam was known far before in Europe\, where it elicited passionate and contrasting reactions\, ranging from vehement attacks concerning its content or composition to an acknowledgement of the aesthetics of its stylistic features and the universal human quality of its message. \nThe aim of this two-day workshop will be to address the different perspectives from which the Qur’an was approached and to identify the various attitudes medieval Latin readers adopted towards it.
